Make 2

1. With waste yarn, open cast on 51 sts and knit a few rows.  End with carriage on right.
2. Bring needles to FWP. 
3. With main yarn, tie a loose knot around hook of 1^st needle on left.
4. Push back needle until waste yarn knits onto main yarn.
5. Ewrap next stitch and repeat step 4.
6. Repeat step 5 across row.
7. Set row counter to zeros.  Knit to row counter 10.
8. Bind off loosely.  Remove any waste yarn.
9. Wrap band around sandal strap with the edges towards the front of the sandal, wrong side facing and sew together.
10. Weave in any ends.
    Sew on optional button in middle of thong.
