Asymmetrical Poncho
Gauge: 4 sts and 6 rows = 1” Keyplate 3dot or Midgauge 8 or Bulky 6.

Materials: 550 yds or 9 ozs.  worsted weight yarn.  Piece should measure 20" by 54".

 

 

 

 

  1. Ewrap cast on 87 sts.  Hang hem or combs.  Row counter at zeros.
  2. Knit 2 rows.  Starting at one end, transfer every 4th stitch to adjacent needle.  Place empty needles in non working position.
  3. Knit to row counter 325.  Bind off loosely.
  4. Block knitted piece.
  5. Fold piece in half and sew one edge, leaving a 10" to 12" inch opening for neck.
  6. Cut fringe 12" long.
  7. Fold in half and with crochet hook or latch tool, attach to cast on and bound off edges.
